The Nanjing University (NJU) School of Marxism held a mobilization meeting for the thematic education campaign to study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era on the afternoon of April 20. Members of the Party and administration leading group, teachers who are Party members, and the Secreatary of the Student Party Branch of the School of Marxism attended the meeting. Hu Daping, dean of the School of Marxism, presided over the meeting.
Wang Jianhua, secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Marxism, communicated the guiding principle that the CPC’s Nanjing University Committee put forward at its mobilization meeting for the thematic education campaign to firmly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He mobilized the School of Marxism and made arrangements for the campaign. In his coaching speech for launching the campaign at the School of Marxism, Wang outlined the general requirement—to learn the Thought, strengthen Party consciousness, attach importance to practice, and make new achievements—and the fundamental task of combining study, reflection, and application and aligning the knowledge, conviction, and action with Xi Jinping Thought. In addition, he called on all Party members and cadres at the school to be always unified in thinking, firm in will, coordinated in actions, and inspired in fighting. He stressed all should focus on the general requirement, fundamental task, and specific goals and stick to the pragmatic practices at work. All Party members and cadres should turn the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era into a powerful force for strengthening ideals, enhancing Party consciousness, guiding practice, and advancing our work. Their effort should be translated into the inexhaustible impetus for implementing NJU’s Forging Ahead Campaign and accelerating the building of “the First Nanjing University”.
Hu Daping concluded that all Party members and cadres would strictly follow the work requirement proposed by the CPC’s Nanjing University Committee, strengthen organization and leadership, take duties, make a substantial effort, achieve specific outcomes, and ensure the practical effects of the program by a combination of studying theories, investigation, and research, development promotion, inspection, rectification, etc.
